Hello. Have you heard Oceansize's new album yet?

Once you've listened through the whole ASIWYFA album a few times you'll be hooked. It's amazing how emotive they are without any vocals. As for the Home and Minor EP, I really like it - it took a few listens to grow on me but now I definitely appreciate it. Of course it is the gentler side of Oceansize but the new album should be a belter. Saw them live in February and they played a good six or seven new songs; a couple of them were ridiculously heavy! I will have a think about some others I might recommend, in the meantime Vessels and ASIWYFA should keep you busy!

I just noticed a couple of comments you posted on my friend Rose's wall (BlackenedSky36 below) and approved of all the recommendations you gave, plus we have super compatibility so i figured I should probably say hello and well done. You're right, Amplifier are awesome, I got their self titled album the day it came out and have loved it ever since, but not such a fan of their second album. Nothing beats Oceansize though. Vessels will definitely grow on you, they are excellent too - but you should listen to And So I Watch You From Afar - they are my biggest musical discovery of the past year. I feel conferring on musical taste could be mutually beneficial for us!

Glad you're enjoying them!! Yeah We Should Have Gone To University shows bits from all their albums as it was released after they broke up, loads of really old stuff on there, I really love some of it. The stuff from before their first album is so Nirvana influenced and in bits kind of Eddie Vedder as well. Racecar is Racecar backwards is brilliant and so is In Nothing We Trust. I don't really rate Very Fast Very Dangerous, I used to love it when I was like 15 but I think I grew out of it. But the other two are definitely worth time. I really like Bonobo but I think for me it's just kind of a nostalgic attachment, but usually not my kind of music! I'm currently listening to Cinematic Orchestra on Spotify! I'm liking it so far :) Thanks for the recommendation! If you have any more send em my way! I'm always looking for new music! Have you listened to and Kong or Vessels?

Heyy :) Yeah that is an unusual combination! But I love both of them SO much! I found Fink from listening to Bonobo-If You Stayed Over, such an awesome track. And yeaH, Reuben! Been one of my favorite bands for years! I really wish they hadn't split up! The first album and the third album are in my opinion the best ones, I love talking about it so let me know how you find it!

Funny, I'd forgotten about the Venetian Snares. It is indeed a very fine piece, innit? And yes, would be good to repeat the weds eve trick - sorry about the pro-evo whupping, btw - soon..

About Me

Hello! If you have similar taste to mine, but you think I'm missing out on something good, let me know. I've discovered most of my recent favourite music in that sort of way. And I hope I can repay the favour.
