Never heard of them, to be honest, but I appreciate them already for having an all ages show. That's two days after my birthday which is pretty cool :) Bombay Bicycle Club is coming on March 29th but I want to spend time with family and friends on my birthday weekend. [[PARAGRAPH]] 18 is a very appropriate age limit though. I went to the Incubus concert and I felt so violated because everyone is touching each other and some chick was grinding on me at one point. And also, some people behind me got taken out for smoking something (illegal). I just ignored these people but I'm not sure if other young ones can cope in a somewhat crazy crowd. [[PARAGRAPH]] My brother always tells me to "hug them and tell them they need Jesus" when people are sad or angry but that's a little extreme for me (especially considering the "religious" diversity in Sydney :P) so I just hug them. Sometimes people just need a hug and it makes their day :3

Goodness gracious. Last.fm destroyed my paragraphs. I apologise in advance for making you read that huge clump of writing.

I'm not going unfortunately :( I just clicked the 'I'm interested' button because I like to keep tabs on the event so I can see what people say about the gigs. It's for over eighteens only. Most gigs are, sadly. Like, I wanted to see Last Dinosaurs because tickets only cost around $20 but I'm not old enough. Georgina, why am I not fifty years old? My life would be so much easier XD Have fun seeing The Grates! I've seen some of their live videos on youtube. I'm sure you'll enjoy! Also, I read your Valentine's post yesterday and what you said about the whiny, single people is so true. I know some people in my school who were ruining the day for others yesterday just because they don't have a romantic partner and I found it very stupid that they had the audacity to ruin a special day for people just because of their own loneliness. Instead of telling them to stop, I gave them a hug :3 Take care, Georgie!

Hey both bands are fairly similar, I guess explosions are more chilled out throughout their songs and Sleep's songs lead to a climax or a little heavier? I'm probably not going actually but they sound decent on recording, haven't seen them live yet though :) Where in Aus are you from? Do you have skype/facebook or something to chat more about music on?

About Me

I do really raw guitar improvs.

I play the piano, guitar and drums - 10 years, 8 years and undefined, respectively. I don't really play drums often; I taught myself that, and guitar.

My mum and dad brought me up with ABBA and The Beatles (whom I both still love). Funnily enough, my mum's never been into The Beatles or that jazz; she was definitely into more dancy and country stuff while my dad liked the classics. Gotta admit, it's funny that they both agreed on The Bee Gees.

I have been through many odd phases of liking music but my heart's really in rock, alternative and classics... and the occasional dance song. I listen to pretty much anything - I'm open-minded, especially with music. I'll give everything a chance. I will listen to anything if you recommend it, but know two things:
1) you're not going to stop me from liking anything that I like now!
2) as a fair trade, please listen to Australian music. It's severely underrated. <3

I heart the Pumpkins; the old lineup was better than ever, and I'm sad that it won't be the same again. I also love Nirvana - Kurt Cobain was a bloody legend. Put on ELO and I will instantly dance - yeah, I'm a dancer. :) Nearly all the bands I like don't ever come to Australia or are long disbanded or gone.

Bragging rights: I've met 3/4 of Jebediah (Kevin, Ness and Chris) and Ben Jorgensen.

I enjoy web design a great deal.
