I actually haven't listened to it yet! my macbook is in for repairs (which has my itunes) so I will probably buy it when I get back. I heard it was strange, but at the end when he belts it is supposively the best part.

Have you ever heard of Here We Go Magic? They have a song called Fangela which is probably one of my favourite songs this year. Actually, it definitely is. You can listen to it on their myspace page. www.myspace.com/herewegomagic

thanks for the recommendation! i haven't heard of this luke temple fellow. will definitely check him out! i really would like to have the deluxe edition of noble beast...gaah, but the $20+ is just too much for me right now. ha. i'll get his album off itunes for now...maybe eventually i'll spring for it. it's only pretty recently that i've really gotten into andrew bird. i'm pretty sure i'm thisclose to falling madly in love with him, but i haven't --quite-- yet. i can feel it coming though. haha! ;) oh, p.s., you should really check out beach house sometime if you haven't ever. they're gorgeous.

trusty neighbor! i am leaving on a roadtrip tomorrow and just received a $25 itunes gift card today! do you have any recommendations as to what i should spend it on so that my ears can have fresh lovely songs for hours in the car? i am thinking i ought to get the new 'drewbird album at least. :) (i really don't like buying music from itunes...i'd rather have something tangible, but when you've got a gift card, best to take advantage of it, eh? haha.)

I don't mean in his music, if anything that definitely has personality--kind of like a splice between Peanuts and a high school marching band. Well, Illinois at least, though I favor Seven Swans more. It's just when you look at him, he seems blank and dispirited. Maybe he's embarrassed to smile because of the gap between his teeth, but he comes off as dull.
