Doug Hall, recent judge on the American Inventor television program, today announced the launch of a new product development program that will provide small to mid-sized businesses with Research and Development tools comparable to those used by major corporations.

The new Eureka! Winning Ways technology was used first with The Miner Corporation, one of the fastest growing companies in the United States and a trusted diversified supplier of warehousing and retail equipment to customers throughout North America. Doug Hall selected San Antonio-based marketing consultant, Erik Darmstetter, to assist him in the process of coaching the company in the use of these innovative R&D methods.

"Our system increases the odds of success for new products by taking the guesswork out of the R&D process," Doug Hall stated. "Eureka! Winning Ways predicts the future success of new product concepts based upon rational, simulated marketing principles."

Recognized as America's #1 Idea Guru by Inc. Magazine, A&E Top 10 and CIO Magazine, Hall has created a revolutionary system for testing and evaluating the effectiveness of new product concepts before research dollars are spent in development. He was a marketing whiz for ten years with Procter & Gamble and consults with trend setting corporations like Nike, Walt Disney, American Express and Ford Motor Company on product innovations.

Hall's team invested four years testing over 4,000 products to develop his newest research system, Eureka! Winning Ways. The end result is Merwyn, an artificial intelligence computer modeling program, which analyzes and evaluates a new product based upon criteria that predict its chances for surviving in the marketplace. Ideas are compared versus 10,000+ marketing initiatives, new products and services to determine real world viability.

Applying Hall's concepts, The Miner Corporation generated 88 new product and services ideas within an afternoon session. Then the top four were processed using the Merwyn technology which predicted their chances for real-world success. Two of the ideas gained scores sufficient to warrant further research. Within hours, a Research and Development team was deployed to discover more data in preparation of a possible new product launch for the company to further accelerate its growth.

As the first national coach of Eureka! Winning Ways, Erik Darmstetter, CEO of Sales by 5, will continue to coach the company as they transition the new services into the marketplace.

Jeff Schmeck, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Miner, stated, "The Eureka! Winning Ways methods are the most effective I have experienced in generating viable product offerings. It has enabled us to mine the gold, the creative ideas, within the minds of our executive leadership to expand our company's growth."

Famous for his inventive genius, Doug Hall appeared as the "Truth Teller" judge in Simon Cowell's reality television program, American Inventor, an ABC Primetime television show. He is also a columnist for Business Week SmallBiz, hosts the Jump Start Your Brain daily advice feature on 400+ radio stations and co-hosts Brain Brew Radio, a nationally syndicated PRI program, where he helps "American Dreamers & Doers."

Many companies are currently stymied from new growth, because they have no scientific or quantitative way to prioritize new product ideas for development. Without a way to evaluate which ideas warrant the time, attention and dollars, many companies stall before investing in R&D or, worse, waste research dollars on the wrong concepts.

"Doug Hall is reinventing research and development in the United States," commented Erik Darmstetter. "American companies now have a tool that can assist them in efficiently and logically investing their research dollars. It may be the just the edge small to mid-sized businesses need to compete."
