Well, if you're a fan of Bill Laswell, give this a listen: http://blancomusic.com/que-se-yo

I think most people here on Last.fm are stats junkies; there's lots of nice features, but watching/analyzing/accumulating all the scrobbles is the best part. One of the nice parts about things like AEP is that they make me want to listen to more diverse music, and I end up finding new good stuff. All in the quest of making that number go up, heh.

good track, I'd never heard that one before....a friend of mine burned Decoration Day for me and that got me hooked - Marry Me and Outfit and Hell No I Ain't Happy are such great songs.

yeah, this is Emily from DCGN! As for Neko Case, I adore Hold On, Hold On and The Needle Has Landed, but Furnace Room Lullaby is one of those albums I can listen to without ever getting tired of it. I'm not enthralled by any solo Jenny Lewis (yet) but I love me some classic Rilo Kiley like Portions for Foxes, Science vs. Romance, With Arms Outstretched....good stuff.

No worries -- I started to listen to the new BLIII album yesterday, but got pulled away from it... I have every intention of finishing it soon. :D

For the record, young man, Sufjan Stevens is not a bore -- you just a hater. :P

Thanks. Always great to meet a fellow Vonnegut admirer. I love Jailbird, Cat's Cradle and pretty much everything else. What's your favourite? And do check Dulli out. He worked with and is a friend of Ani DiFranco so I think you'll like him.

ha! Yeah, I may have recommended Alabama Thunderpussy, but I'm not sure... I'm not real familiar with them (but they are great). Nashville Pussy are probably one of my top 5 favorite bands... good stuff! :)

About Me

I'm a capricious musical slut; I'll listen to anything. Turn ons: brass, odd rhythms, layered ensemble sounds, bent notes. Turn offs: music that simultaneously lacks talent and desire. I try not to let qualms of good taste get in the way of a good time.

My stereo kicks ass and my laptop and desktop speakers suck, so I listen more to my CDs, SACDs FM and HDradio (wamu.2 bluegrass and wwdc.2 rock) when I'm at home. I listen to CDs nearly constantly in the car, many of which I haven't bothered to rip. (I miss Oink -- faster than ripping!)

What will get posted here? Mostly what I listen to at work, and half or less what I listen to at home. It'll skew what last.fm thinks I listen to, but I still love it all.
