I'm a dazed & confused girl living in a beautiful yet ironically messed up world. I reside in the live music capital of the world - Austin, Texas. I'm a mess of contradictions, as you can probably tell from my music preferences. Yes, Britney Spears & The Mars Volta can coexist on my charts. I do go through phases and I like to listen to full albums. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to music as well as try to obtain it from every possible source, but that doesn't mean I think everyone else should necessarily. That is just what I feel comfortable with and I don't care if you think it's a bad thing. I may not like a particular artist, but I can respect them if they have talent. Also, if you respect my tastes, then I will respect yours. Keep in mind that this is only a scratch on the surface of my listening habits.

What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable?
