Well apparently they are promising air con this time. So it says on the Residents Advisor event page anyhow.

Did you say that you were giving the Magda/heartthrob NYE thing a miss? I must say that I'm tempted.

btw, I'm listening to a podcast of his right now (Smoke) from his myspace page, and it is that understated simmering vibe that people have described his sets as; the set earlier was pretty different. Proper tough and mad at points. Loved it!

Well yeah, I'm really kicking myself for not doing my research beforehand and just taking it as a given that the rest of the 'DJ's' would fit the bill. A solid reminder about how we can have shite thrown at us along with class (a bit like what you told me about the last time you saw Gaiser).x

Well, I doubt anything is worth having to wade through all that mince they were playing; but Alex Smoke really, really rocked it. I've heard that his sets can be sombre or melancholic.....not last night/this morning. Definately wanna see him spin again, only with a line up that suits him. The guys after him were playing some mad stuff as well. What a contrast. Ridiculous really. Like I said before, better luck next time. Hope you got home with no hiccups. x
