Regarding Purcell covers and Ane Brun that you commented, I'm 99,9% sure she did it because she heard Jeff Buckleys cover og "dido's lament" from some time ago in Germany where he did such a good performance that the people back stage didn't want to go on stage after him. The recording should be easily found on the internets :)
