a good point to start with prefab sprout would be their most successful album "steve mc queen" (i think in the US it was called "two wheels good"). but the masterpiece IMO is "andromeda heights". the songwriting and some of the arrangements sound almost pre-rock'n'roll, like out of a gershwin or cole porter musical. and if you like that, you should also like the "new" album (it's actually demos from the nineties), "let's change the world with music". ridiculous title, but it certainly did change MY world (a little bit. ;-)

I do like it, yeh. But perhaps not as much as her last album. Certain tracks are standouts - Canvas and Wait It Out but the others didn't hit me on first listen and I had to listen a few more times before I fully appreciated them. It's a good album but not her best I don't think. Still, it's been a while so I guess she was a bit rusty :p
