Yup. Sgt making a late run for my album of the year. Have to start looking at my list soon. What did you think to the new Espers record? I am half and half about it so far. A bit of a disappointment live, though. Did get to hear Flaming Telepaths, though. :)

Never got the Dido-ness from Alela. I think her voice is less affected than on the first couple of records. I haven't really heard any Dido stuff, though, apart from the Eminem thing. I think T & I are doing Green Man and EotR this year. While mouthwatering already, financially two should just about stress the bank. Think we are taking Green Man up on their week-long camping offer. Still pretty green eyed over the Primavera line up!

We missed Mono. Trish was a little ill and I was shattered, so we went home to hot mugs of tea and a Doctor Who series in bed instead. Major miss, but it just wasn't going to happen. Still not sure about the new record. It sounded great in the bath a few weeks back, but since then has remained rather unplayed... Really enjoying the Johnnytwentythree stuff. And I agree with you about the two top tracks. They are massive, Ghost Soldiers especially. Still on my Chinese odyssey. Wang Wen the current obsession. Love 'My Crime'. We caught Alela Diane in Leeds a couple of weeks ago, with Stephanie. Her new record, To Be Still, is on pretty much permanent play in Casa K, eclipsing Little Hells.. just.

I am loving the new Gui Borratto i have to say. I'm gonna have to find some more stuff from the Field aswell. We also have the new Art Brut and the National to look forward to in the next few months.

Yeah it definately looks good, i've been really getting into errors stuff recently too "Cutlery Draw" is my favourite tune at the moment. I was hoping to see them at the ICA but have just noticed it clashes with The Whitest Boy Alive. I hope i can make field day, we have made a few plans top travel over the summer though so it might prove difficult.

definitely up for Field Day. We have friends who live on the edge of the park, so there will be no problems there. Glad you are liking Marissa. < namedrop> Will let her know she has a new fan next time I see her online </ namedrop>. ;o) And the Fennesz record is sublime. I got plus forty seven degrees 56' 37" minus sixteen degrees 51' 08" many moons ago, and it was a constant play for about a year. He then dropped of my radar for quite a while til Black Sea came out. Caught a couple of reviews and had to dip my toe back in his waters. Am really jonsing over Sgt.'s "Destroy the Galaxy..." at the moment. The Stylus record is amazing all around but this track just reverberates around my head constantly. Very interested by the WIll Sheff version of Ex-Girl Collection. Meadowlands is one of my favourite records, so must investigate! Hope all is well, and that we get to see you both before the Kinder Scout trip!

I remember you saying you weren't so sure on em, but there seems to be a following already, they have 2 nights at the borderline this week. The album is due for April 7th. I haven't heard the new AC yet but have heard good things.

I know it was a bit lame, reading Steve B's reasons makes it all even more odd. Saying that the last album didn't really grab me so much. The eye, was a result of a bit of a tumble i took skiing. I also managed to take a chunk out of my leg. The video should be hitting the net as soon as i get a connection in my new flat. . How's things? any new recommendations? Rob and i are seeing Crystal Antlers at the bordline tomorrow, should be awesome.
