Hey there! That sounds so awesome!!! I hope someone records it so we can see it<3 I am doing ok. Still in a bit of denial really...I have put it in the back of mind that he isnt gone, for the past 2 months. But lately it has hit me hard. And I realized that I am going to have to start dealing with it, because its physically making me sick and emotionally draining me out. My body is basically telling me its time to let go. I have been sick with grief that its not taking ahold of my system. Insomnia (i have never had a proper sleep pattern) but it has gotten so much worse. I cant sleep at night like most normal people, I have to sleep during the day. And I'm currently fighting this 'summer flu'. Haha feel like a train has hit me, technically no it hasnt but it has. I know you understand that! But I'm getting by. So glad to hear you are doing well, and like I said I hope we will be able to see your Thriller dance! Im excited for you too! Take good care, and Peace and <3

Having MJ be your first concert is pretty epic. Starting off massive huh? Lol! And congrats on getting such fantastic seats! I'll be in Block 107 for the July 10th show, and Block C1 for the July 12th show...not the greatest seats. But in all honestly, I'm just happy to be going. I remember being in London back in 92 around the time when MJ was playing Wembley Stadium, and my cousin and I were so disappointed we couldn't go to the show. Never in a million years, did I think I'd get the opportunity 17 years later. He's the last of my favourite artists, I absolutely have to see in my lifetime...so this is pretty huge for me :-) And I just booked my flight and hotel this past weekend...so I'm getting even more pumped now!!!

About Me

Michael Jackson
The best entertainer who ever lived!! I miss him already

I was naughty,

I was 4 years old when I climbed the living room cabinet to reach the top shelf for a video that mum had recorded but hid away as it was certificate 15 and unsuitable for children.

Nothing could be further from the truth, once I played this ‘horror film’ I was hooked instantly, I didn’t find it scary but the most entertaining thing in my life, albeit 4 years of it.

Within days, I had the dance routine all sorted out, I knew the script and the music that accompanied the film just blew me away.

I am of course, talking about the moment I became a Michael Jackson fan after watching the PlayThriller music video for the first time.

I have always been a proud Michael Jackson fan, and always will. I became a fan at the height of his fame, during the Thriller album era, played his songs over and over and over again, watched the music videos, saw the programmes on the telly but so young, I didn’t quite grasp the overwhelming popularity and intenseness that was the pop phenomenon, Michael Jackson.

The Thriller album alone had 7 tracks which made it to number 1 in charts all over the world, unheard of before and beaten only once by Michael Jackson himself on his next album Bad. Thriller became a global leader in music entertainment and it’s influences have been passed through the music generations to popular music today.

Like him or dislike him, love him or hate him, you HAVE been influenced by Michael Jackson, all you need to do is look at the music artists you love and enjoy, research and find who they looked up to or who they are fans of and it’s widely known and accepted in celebrity circles that his one of the most decorated and respected undisputed musical geniuses of all time. Justin Timberlake, Usher, Ciara, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Britney, Ne-Yo, Jennifer Lopez, Aaliyah, Beyonce… loads more!

It’s impossible to review the life of a man who has given so much to music, dance and performance, an artistic talent which if you’re privileged enough to understand and enjoy is a total joy to appreciate. Whilst I know and appreciate that everyone’s music tastes are different, I actually feel sorry for those who don’t like his style or just can’t ‘get’ how he affects his fans.

He has the largest fan base than any other person in the world, spanning all genres of fame and celebrity, millions of people from everywhere in the world share the connection of similar music / dance / talent and taste despite hundreds of cultural backgrounds and personal histories. He truly was the best entertainer on the planet without question! He was the most decorated artist who ever lived and received the most awards and made the most achievements than any other artist who ever came before him and probably, can never be succeeded. Over his 45 year career, he has sold over 850 million albums! There’s even pages dedicated to the records and achievements of him on Wikipedia.

I learned of his death on Thursday night, three friends of mine sent me a text message with basic information to which I switched on the news. I watched the BBC as a trusted news source and they were reporting that they had heard reports of his death and were waiting for confirmation. Another friend very dear to me was with me at the time who actually dislikes Jackson but understands that he is my idol and so made a consolatory spliff as I watch the news unfold.

When the BBC confirmed it, my heart sank I felt empty, someone who I had practically grown up with, someone’s voice I’ve heard almost on a weekly basis for my entire life had died. There was to be no more music, performances, videos, gone.

I called my Mum (who also, is a massive Michael Jackson fan) this morning to tell her the news, and she was distraught, I wasn’t surprisingly but the realisation that my idol had died hadn’t quite sunk in but it did as today progressed.

Friday morning, I received 3 tasteless and offencive remarks (labelled as jokes) which upset me. These people don’t know me at all, or they are careless in respecting other people’s moods and emotions.

So I will tell you now, to anyone who has managed to read this far, that Michael Jackson was a great man. Someone who gave everything he had to music, someone who did so much for charity, for those in need and who enriched the lives of millions of people from all over the world. I will forever, challenge anyone who disrespects his legacy because to do so, is to knowingly offend me and I will not tolerate that with anyone.

It’s a sad day for music, a sad day for Michael Jackson fans worldwide and indeed, a sad day for me. Particularly, as if my father was still alive, he would be celebrating his birthday today.

The Michael Jackson era has ended and history should remember him for who he really was. The most gifted musical entertainer the world has ever seen and couldn’t possibly ever hope to see anything similar again.

Michael Jackson, Rest in Peace
