THE BOOOKKSSSS. So good. I saw you're listening to them. =] I just got into Yo La Tengo, really catchy stuff. Here to fall is one of my favorites as of now. Your blog is super cool too, but you probably hear that lots, oh well. Hope all is well. =Destiny B.

Hi, I’m a student at UCL and for my dissertation I’m doing some research into audience experience at live indie gigs. I’m looking for people who have been to at least one indie gig in the past year to answer some questions about the gig they have attended. The questions can be found at: http://www.kwiksurveys.com/online-survey.php?surveyID=LKOMM_21485bf1 Thank-you very much for your help, it is very much appreciated :) Louise --------- Ps Your answers will be especially valued as you are a member of a group which has a clear definition of indie- my research is looking at the difference between what some people consider indie (e.g. poppy stuff v. independent music). Thank-you!

And what's all this "young lady/little lady" business?! You'd better start watchin' your pet names, buddy.

Haaa ok that makes ALOT more sense. After listening to Crystal Castles I was still thinking, "Now...how did he find Brian Wilson in there?" Haha. No, I haven't heard of the Crystal Skulls! I found some of their stuff - So far I like it! I think you might dig the band Local Natives (if you haven't already heard of them). They are rad.

You know, I've given Crystal Castles alot of my time, but they simply don't sit with me. I'll visit again and report back with my findings. As far as musical intricacies go, don't even get me started. Music, in all forms, is so incredibly beautiful that I often cannot stomach it. Even know, I'm thinking of how it attaches itself to memories, ties us together, mimics our own heart's beat, and conjures false (or maybe true) feelings of elation, sorrow, lust, and love. It makes you move. A disembodied connection of rhythm and pulse that is made up of air molecules vibrating at different frequencies can MAKE YOU MOVE. Ugh. It's too much to handle. I'm so sorry. These are just my rambling, mad midnight quips. Probably written poorly too. Maybe it's the perfect reflection of my inability to sum up how in awe of music I am. Haha. Blah.

I love the dodos with all my heart and soul. Well, all music in general, but the dodos is like top 3 band I wouldn't mind dying to. Do you play any instruments?

Oh yes, I'm quite familiar with Blitzen Trapper. They're absolutely beautiful. I'm really upset because we missed their set at Coachella...do you like The Dodos?

You are? How exciting! I'll try my hardest to get my act together and be there. Ahhh, the Flaming Lipsss. They've been on my "Must See Live" list for some time now...I want nothing more than be walked on by Wayne Coyne in a giant bubble. Yes. I'm jealous that you've seen Grizzly Bear! They're one of my absolute favorites. What other shows have you been to this year? Did you get the chance to check out Coachella?
