    Thursday evening
I'm glad your friends FINALLY saw the light about Justice! And as for the groupie situation... I believe it. I think it's the accents. One of my friends is French, and he has everyone swooning over him. And yes, I'm going to Mika Miko for sure. I'm pretty excited - one of my friends from Austin was supposed to fly in to go with me, but she had to cancel last minute. Instead, I'm bringing a friend who is "game for adventure," as he says. Final thought - Phoenix is always worth travelling.

sorry I didn't get back to you man, yeah I saw Etienne and yes it was a DJ set, but really it was one of the best DJ sets I've seen in awhile, he played for 2.5 hours and every song had a bit of his type of sound in it... I really enjoyed it.

ahhh yes!!! PLEASE let me know all about these pre/post parties! I would love to get into one! Maybe it can break the monotony of hot desert sun + running from stage to stage + looking at the ants playing on stage. I hate how if you want to get near the front, you need to get there first thing in the morning and sit at that one stage the entire day. Agh... i feel as if I'm in a music rut lately. Tell me what you're listening to!

Were they successful in their groupie pursuits? I always wonder about that... oh, and trust me, I would have never backed out of Justice tickets! Your friends should have been ashamed.

haha, I'm up because I have dogs. They don't care what time I get in or how late I want to sleep in; they want their walk at 7. I live in the historic core of downtown - I can see the Palace from my window, actually. Oh, and I feel ya about the wingman problem - I have the same issue. I normally buy two tickets, and then no one wants to go with me or they back out. Sometimes I just say "screw it," and just buy one. I've met a lot of people that way!

It was a great experience, that M83 show. We had front row orchestra view seats, so we were busy watching the percussionists from the Phil complain about how they have to "play this shit" when it came to the combined M83/orchestral arrangements. For being bitter a-holes, at least they played well. I love those Disney Hall concerts. Not only are they beautiful, I live really close, so I just walk. It's a shame about that 50 event limit. I actually am really inconsistent about adding concerts I've been to on last.fm. I recently tried to add more things that I went to, and thanks to the craziness of that limit, the events don't show up! One of these days, we'll have to meet up! I'm always on the hunt for more live music lovers; my friends in LA tend to be film-types who don't care about live music in the least. Laaame.

Ran across your profile after looking at the reviews/comments about the latest Mew concert on Monday. Nice taste in music! Turns out we've attended several of the same shows in the past few months. LA is both a big and small place, I guess.

Why do you keep telling yourself you're not going to Coachella? Are you anti-festival? My ex-boyfriend had friends who lived like a 5 min drive from the field so that's how I got by for a couple of years, but then last year I stayed at a Motel 6 hahaha. I don't think I have the stamina to camp. I've always heard of these famous pre and after parties but how does one even get into them?? Have you been to one before? hahaha and about Hot Chip/The xx I don't know WHAT I was thinking..... signing up for a Washington D.C. show... hmm maybe I should actually look at the location before signing up!!

Well, the xx is playing with Hot Chip in March so there's your chance to see them in a small venue!! Are you planning on going to coachella this year? I've gone the past 3 years for all 3 days but I feel as if I might be too burned out to go F-Sun. Maybe just one day... but then picking the one day is the most frustrating part :[
