You know, I never got in to Broken Social Scene. Not that I dislike them... I'm just not very familiar with their material. They always seemed like the type of band I'd really like if I took the time to listen, and I'm a big fan of some of it's related projects (most notably Stars and Metric), but they've remained in my "bands to check out" pile for some time now. Is there a particular album you recommend I start with?

Well, Mary... I'm not gonna' sit here and lie to you. It was pretty amazing. First night of the tour, so the energy level was pretty high. My friends and I managed to get front stage - center and indeed, danced the night away. Shy Child was incredible. The Faint, of course, were also rather incredible. Todd was dressed like a mad scientist. It was great. They even had the new album for sale (and I hate to keep using this word, but it's, well... incredible)! I'm sorry you missed it :( What happened?

Peoples is downtown, on a pretty major street, Court Avenue. It's much easier to get to from the east side of downtown, since Court Avenue doesn't go through past 5th Avenue, going west. Does that make sense? You would probably have better luck looking it up on Google Maps or something.

You know, I've heard about the whispering room but have never actually been in it. Apparently they only allow the public in there during tours. I've hung out at the capitol many a time but have never bothered to take the tour. Perhaps I should. There certainly isn't much else to do around here.

Haha... ya, I'm sure it's inevitable for us, too. What part of MO are you coming from?

I actually have no idea where People's Court is. My friend and I are coming from Missouri and we're not familiar with Iowa at all. I'd recommend using Mapquest or something... that's probably what I'm gonna' do. Anyway, you have impeccable taste in music! Perhaps I'll see you at the show?
