Although the only person you can really compare her with is Ayu, and Utada... it's a bit different. Ayu and Namie are similar in that they have had influence over the Japanese public for so many years. Koda's on a lower level than that. So many Western fans don't understand that though. Koda isn't half the artist Namie is.
