I love it. The overall mood is decidedly more upbeat than Melankton, particularly in the first half of the album, but you'll find it transitioning to a more melancholy tone by the end. New instrumentation and sounds abound (synths in "MYYM" come to mind) along with the familiar (listen to the opening of "Tears in Rain"). Kate's voice is central throughout, beautiful as ever, her lyrics rarely straying from the themes of love and relationships. Guy Sigsworth's imprint on this recording is also evident; "Soon" goes so far as to be reminiscent of Frou Frou. Favorites of mine include "Krakowska", "Think Again", and "MYYM", but there really isn't a disappointing song on the album. My one minor complaint is that a sizable chunk of the tracks had already been released as singles - I would have liked more new material. That aside, I am quite pleased with "You", and definitely recommend giving it a listen.

Very pretty. I noticed on her website that she is drawing on themes from Satie and Chopin, two of my favorite classical composers. Her next record is definitely one I look forward to hearing.
