Sssooo.. I found this band http://www.myspace.com/iftc/blog/538964891 by a total accident. Searched for a download of Tona to try them out and ended up copying a rapidshare into Jdownloader that was CLEARLY not Tona.. but in my curiosity I continued on with it anyways. I don't know how much you like metal.... or if this is AT ALL your thing but I strongly recommend the song Rainy Days on their Ghostsongs EP (I've had it on repeat for a while now...). Also, The Gambler is pretty damn good too on their other album. Both are free from them so try em out if you are so inclined. It's your fault I found this so I thank you and then say goodnight.

Haha there is almost no logic in Kanji. And it's so frustrating to have been studying it for so long and though I know somewhere around 2000 of them.. I'm maaaaybe at about a fourth grade reading level -_- And thanks for the heads up about the tracks in Serbian! I really love listening to music in other languages.. I don't do it often enough probably but I was listening to some Italian ska the other day and thought I should acquire more non-english music. For some reason almost all of my current non-english music is either ska or metal.. Nice to have some good punk/electro suggestions to follow up on. Speaking of which I shall now attempt to find Tona. Tonight seems like a good night for some experimentation.

Irish Gaelic! Awesome! Actually that entire list is pretty impressive. Yeah I know Russian is up there on the difficulty level.. if they don't stick to their own rules that's gotta be frustrating lol. Japanese is high too but it's really not that difficult.. except of course the writing. Speaking it is really easy.. but learning two writing scripts and thousands of Kanji has consumed waaay too many hours of my life. And I have about a 25 minute drive to work/class so it gives me enough time to get in some good car listening each day.. but my ipod stopped cooperating with last.fm and won't scrobble it's plays anymore :( so I'm missing out on some essential additions to my library >:/ I could always scrobble from my phone but I'm faaaaaaaar too impatient to deal with putting playlists on it. Anyways, I'm deciding what to check out next on your list of cool stuff. Serbian punk sounds fun. Might try that one next.

Barbarophile sounds kind of dirty.. but that's great! Love exploring other cultures as well, especially through music and folk tales.. and old films. I have a soft spot for German expressionist films and horror films from the 1920's lol. I've dabbled in various languages but the one I'm most familiar with is Japanese. Only one besides French and Latin that I've actually taken classes for. I know a bit of German and Slovak from my family.. very little Russian from living with a Russian girl my first year of college.. Bits of Portuguese and little tidbits from lots of other languages picked up through music and random translation projects. Language is fascinating and something I wish I would have spent more time on. Russian had to be fairly difficult to learn though huh? You are quite welcome for the suggestions. Glad you liked them and good luck drowning in your music.. I always seem to be in that state as well but I'm probably some kind of masochist as I enjoy such torture >:D lol

P.S... I'm a genius and just realized I spelled Gogol Bordello wrong... One 'l' in Gogol not two. Make necessary corrections. Goodnight.

I've got The Ukrainians on at the moment. Really enjoying it so far. Question: Do you speak Ukrainian and hence how you sing along? Or is it more of an imitation type thing? Just curious. Also two suggestions as a thank you for The Ukrainians: Golgol Bordello http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM1Ahn0Osjo VERY fun music, cool video for Start Wearing Purple and an overall really interesting band of you look up their history. And also a little bit of local Ohio promotion Defiance, Ohio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boKRp48JfOw These guys are a bit more folksy and throw some punk in there too. Good stuff. Let me know if you like it.

Hello. I stumbled upon your page due to your comment on a photo of Robyn.. and I am infinitely intrigued by the artists in your 'About Me' section, especially the Ukrainian folk-punk. I am busy at the moment but I will be visiting soon in order to follow up on your advice to check them out :)
