Yeah man, let's do this shit. It will be too dope. I gotta check some stuff, finances, holidays... but I'm pretty sure about going. Peace

Yeah Sweden is absolutely beautiful; I genuinely want to move out there. It's certainly pricey, but so long as you look around a bit (and are prepared to pretty much forsake alcohol) it's not vastly different to London. Pictures-wise, check the photos of me on Facebook until you find the ones that aren't taken in a soulless London satellite town and that should link you to my gf's album. Would definitely like to see those Morocco ones though...somewhere I'd rather experience vicariously, minus the heat and dust haha. Gave the Om record a cheeky listen and I really, really dig it; like you suggested, I think Amos contributes a lot more than just his drum work and I think it works nicely as a counterpoint to Pilgrimage. I do like the minimalism, but it's also nice to hear them progressing. Definite dub influence too, on the second track. I do wish they'd make their albums longer though. If you've got a spare tenner, this might be of interest: http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=223865

Yeah we will, I can't wait. I've never seen Mogwai before. So are you the music editor at Bath, or is it an all encompassing ents section?

Hiya! Good to e-meet you. Ace music taste by the way. I can't wait for Invada... bit sad to be missing Part Chimp for End of the Road next weekend though.

Ah fair enough, man...I'm seeing Fuck Buttons at an uber-tiny venue in Oxford, which should be pretty incredible. I'm really, really psyched about the new OM; judging by the clips on their myspace, Amos has made a huge difference and the sitar and bongos sound amazing (The Wire can go to fuck). Didn't get accepted for my masters (apparently independent music isn't a valid anthropological topic at Oxford, which doesn't entirely surprise me) so I'm looking for some form of meaningful employment. I hadn't realised the extent to which my student loan funded my record habit until now...having to go through all the stuff I've neglected up until now. Probably a good thing. Other than that, summer's been pretty sweet - went to Stockholm, which is basically the best place ever although having seen the No Fun line-up, I'm thinking that particular trip should have been delayed until September. How about yourself?

Heh, I like how you went from 'the holiday was expensive' to 'the best song is "Spent"'. Smoooth. Although i'm guessing (can't remember) the song is less about money and more about how the guy is sick of his life or something.

:) Hope the holiday was most excellent. I am a bit dubious about the inclusion of sitars and bongos on the Om album but it could be good. Dunno if it will top Conference of the Birds for me, I love that one. I've only really had a cursory listen to the Pissed Jeans but I like tracks 1 and 3! Other ones not too fussed...yet.
