Hi rob, just had a cheeky Takeshi Nishimoto sess. Couldn't get it to play on samurai.fm, so got in on last.fm. Its very chilled, reminds me of goldmund or library tapes. I do like the bare acoustics, but I feel it lacks a bit of umph. Mind you, that could be because I only checked out his 'Monologue' album. I'll try again with sumurai... Appreciate the link though, especially like the fact that he's oriental. I class you as my oriental talent-scout, you're always finding something interesting and worth listening to. At the mo, i'm sort of into Max Richter and Wim Mertens. Thoroughly enjoying 'Ara batur' by Sigor Ros, 'Crimewave' by Crystal Castles, and 'Axel-F' by Harold Faltermeyer - all of which are pure, unadulterated tunes. I see you're having a tetsuo renaissance! What are you up to at the moment rob? I miss your incessant fortune boy digs along with your period hijacking of mike's laptop to unleash some random concoction from the hood internet radio. Hope you're well bud...

bizarre rob, but i've come to expect nothing less. I actually quite like it, so much so, that I might check out Himanshu's blog. I'm a bit sad because I left before I could say good bye and collect your two disc compilation. Would one day dearly love to get my hands on it - the Japanese hints you gave enticed me to the point of drooling. I'm at the fortune boy, I'm at the china man - i'm at the combination fortune boy and china man. One could only imagine what such a collaboration would be like. Mx

bare cheeky one mate, the cribs remain a firm favourite on the scene, what with their DIY attitude and straight-up sound! you should give them a go. Oh yeah and i heard this really good band, they're called the libertines, have you heard of them?

You talk a big game "colesey", but you're not the boss of me - I'm not contractually obligated to play whatever you say. God, you're just like my dad. Next you're going to be telling me that you were married and had your own chequeing account by the time you were my age GET OFF MY FUCKING BACK I DON'T LIKE SIGNING MY NAME

There's an element of truth there Rob yes, I was actually in Manchester there for a couple days and scrobbling was set to 'on', but I had already transfered it onto my mp3 player so I could listen to it on the go- which doesn't affect my last.fm persona.
