About Me

I was given a stack of Beatles LPs when I was seven and I listened to them over and over. My preteen years were filled with Hall and Oates, Billy Joel, and The Cars. During high school, I went through the obligatory Led Zeppelin stage, became a huge Rush fan, and was introduced to The Smiths, Cult, Sugarcubes, Church, Crowded House, and Camper van Beethoven. In college I could be found listening to the Cocteau Twins, Buffalo Tom, Sugar, Cracker and added the beebop and cool jazz sounds of Sonny Rollins, Grant Green, Charlie Parker, and Miles Davis. After moving to New Mexico, a good friend turned me onto alt. country bands including Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Lucinda Williams and some of the great Texas and Nashville song writers (Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Joe Ely, Steve Earle). I'm a big fan of Lyle Lovett and Gillian Welch.
