Same thing is here right now.. some kind 'late' winter, we had warm and sunny December... and these few days...temperature about -22 is predicted, large amount of snow suddenly fell for a very short time. today is declared a state of emergency...

In Vain - very interesting band. These days I listen to some Blut Aus Nord albums.. a little bit of Vulture Industries ( especially first album) and of course Enslaved... these very cold, winter days in Serbia are just perfect for them on my playlist :)

P.S to previous shout: Here is the latest video for one song their first album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo0xonitZX0 and this is their first video, recorded 2006th, from same album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2RmxNmOWc0&feature=related Lyrics are in Serbian, and its too bad that you cant understand them, cause they have great lyrics. If you want, I could send you zip file with whole album. Their fb page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Groteska-Band/160282993540 (there is also link for downloading album)

Hey! Yes, I play piano, currently, working on some ambient stuff :) I haven't listen it yet, I'll check it out. Groteska I listen to is band from Serbia ( there is1 from some other country)They have one 1,officially released in 2011, but recorded much earlier. They started as gothic/doom metal with melodic stuff, clean vocal that has church singing influence with little bit of growls.New album they are recording now will have more black elements, more avant-garde.Live they sound great, they had even unplugged appearance where they were improvising right on place - singer/bass player played violin that night and singing(he is academic musician),guitarist and drummer played acoustic guitars.I think the band is still not well understood here in Belgrade, and I hope that they'll re-release first album with better production 'cause they play that stuff much better, different, with more growls...and try to release it out of Serbia, cause they got some great comments from people abroad.

Spotify has a various artists album called "A Gathering of 8 Norwegian Prog. Metal Bands" some of it is new to me and interesting. Check it out, might be something new for you too. I'm definitely going to listen to it again when I'm sober!

Thx, the various anti-censorship groups may not mean much on their own, but hopefully awareness of what these groups champion does. Cliché as it may be, knowledge is power.
