Oops sorry. I forgot to say that if you like The Organ, you may want to listen to the first album by The Long Blondes. They're another female fronted band which were quite decent. Shame about the second album though.

Kate Rusby is very good. If you like her you'll definitely like Nancy Elizabeth Cunliffe! Good to see that you've got The Organ on your recently listened to songs. I'm going to rip my copy of Grab That Gun into mp3's because I used to love it.

Yes, Sigur Ros are a bit of an acquired taste, much like Bjork is. You either love them hate them. My personal favourite album is their 2001 'Agaetis Byrjun' album. You can't go wrong with their recent 2008 album though, especially as it contains the best song they've ever made, Ara Batur.

Well, I love The Knife and some of Robyn's songs so naturally I love the new Royksopp album. Girl and the Robot featuring Robyn is such a brilliant song. It's going to get airplayed to death though! Nancy Cunliffe is quite hard to get hold of. She's only released two or three cd's and she doesn't get much commercial airplays. Do you listen to Sigur Ros? I've looked through your artists and I cannot seem to find them. It's strange because you're into film/game soundtracks so you'll probably love Sigur Ros as much as I do. Howling Bells are another decent band which you probably know of already.

Just a few more suggestions for you - you may like Laura Marling. Everyone's heard of her already so you probably know of her too. Her album's really good. Being an Einaudi fan like myself, you may like Scala & Kolacny Brothers. They do piano and choir led covers of popular songs ranging from Nirvana to Radiohead. Highly recommended.

Hey! I do like the Noisettes - I bought their What's The Time Mr. Wolf album a few years ago because of the fabulous songs like Sister Rosetta (the highlight of the album), Capture the Spirit and IWE. They reminded me of Skunk Anansie in a way, and it's not just because they both have a black female lead singer. I'm looking forward to their new album - ...The Rhythm is a fantastic new single. If you're into Melua and Jones, I'd suggest checking out the infinitely superior, and my friend, Nancy Elizabeth (Cunliffe). She has a similar sound to Joanna Newsom but as she's influenced by Radiohead a lot, her music is very layered and complex.

About Me

Welcome. Feel free to add me if you think we have a similar music taste, I'm always looking for new inspiration.

I like most music even if that isn't necessarily reflected in my stats as I've only had Last.FM since January '08.
