i see you are listening to an instant classic (boxer). thanks so much for the email with all the downloads and information. i've seen calexico in concert and they are pretty amazing. i have several bowie albums (ziggy stardust, space oddity, and hunky dory) on cd and vinyl. he is certainly one of my favorite 70s artists. my favorite song is "queen bitch" off hunky dory that was written about/for lou reed. i want to get my hands on LOW after reading a great article on pitchfork. ironically also, i have most REM albums except their best, MURMUR. i was listening to MARQUEE MOON (television) while out in portland this summer and couldn't believe how great it sounded; you never hear people talking about television like they do velvet underground, but these guys were also pretty amazing. i'll just breakdown and buy these albums pretty soon. have you listened to the new camera obscura that i sent? it is outstanding from start to finish. infectious pop music.

the pics from the reading are awesome. there are about 10 of them that are epic. the first pic of the hursts is a classic. i also like the one of sut-dog looking out the window. the pic of dawn and lo with the brick background (nicks in the sticks) is incredible, too. we were all sitting around during the hursts last night in bama, and we declared that the night of the reading was the best night in tuscaloosa ever. thanks for capturing it.
