thanks! i'm glad someone thinks my writing is good (though i suppose i should be more confident since i got second place in that contest and whatnot...but still). and i am ridiculously passionate about chile (like to an odd degree, since i'm not even from there/have no relatives there/etc). idk why. and i've made it my mission to enlighten everyone around me about ~the other 9/11~ (aka the coup) and how much of a bastard pinochet was. it's those damn stories about people disappearing that always get to me and make me cry. srsly =(

Hey! You listen to some pretty good tunes yourself. Cake in particular has always been a personal favorite of mine.

yeah, i've moved on from communist dictatorships to right wing military ones. but yeah, i've been into chile for a while (i also wrote a screenplay about chile, though more about 1970s chile--allende's election, the coup, the disappeared--that essentially has scarred me for life with all the brutality i had to incorporate to stay true to the official history). if you see my tumblr page, you'll notice that its like a shrine to salvador allende/the UP. http://bronwaaaaan.tumblr.com/ ...wow that was a long ass message.

Radio stations sure don't (with the exception of Reg's Coffee House on Sundays). But there's a pretty good live music scene to make up for it. Alabama's got a lot of good local music, so I don't fault the radio stations tooooo much. Speaking of Johnny Cash, I can't stop listening to American IV. It's just too amazing.

Thanks so much! I really really love it too (imo its so much better than potb). And never fear, I've written like 5 more chapters that I'll send you when I get home. As you can see, chile is my new obsession xD
