Oh well, get it while you can. The mods are usually slow at locks. I agree, A music website that doesn't allow discussing singular artists or events?! However, they let you create groups for specific topics, that have their own forums;)

Concerning your thread in the 'News forum'-It is not only old news, it includes 1,000's and 1,000's of bands doing the same and is considered spam when you point to one individual artist. The mods will most likely lock that topic.
