Thank you for "The Bridge to Terabithia";) But we are talking about "magic" music so I prefer music by John Williams. "Harry Potter" "Hook" "Home Alone" that's what I call "magic filmmusic". But "Narnia" by Harry Gregson-Williams is also great:) And my favourite tracks are also "Evacuating London" and "The Battle";)

Yes yes yes! Such an epic score! Hope you have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!!! Now, to play an Ennio Morricone score. :)

Hm, I see you two are talking about Ennio Morricone… If you like Basil Poledouris' "Conan the Barbarian" you just need to listen to Morricones music for "Red Sonja". That one too is a wonderful epic fantasy score for full big orchestra, with heroic choirs, heavy percussions, everything you need when it comes to that genre. (You might want to check out his newest score, "Baarìa", as well.) - Oh, and if you can't find "The Dark Crystal", just give me a shout.

Ok Thorpe, I will certainly give The Mighty a listen tonight or New Year's Day. It's on my 'to play' list as of now! :P Now we only need you to discover some Ennio Morricone...,preferably The Mission or Once Upon A Time In The West (probably my fave 'epic' scores, along with John Barry's Dances With Wolves, and Miklos Rosza's El Cid).

About Me

"A man has a choice. I chose the impossible."
"Nothing's gonna change my world."
(BioShock) ("Across the Universe")

I like to play video games and use the Interwebz. I'm also a bit of sucker for heartwarming films and scores. You'll notice in my library. ;)

When I find something I really like, I usually keep listening to it over and over for some time. It happens every now and then.

Recently Added

Some recently added soundtracks to my Last.fm library:

For more recently added, go to my library.

Library

Lots of film music I like. I have a growing collection of film soundtracks, although I'm nowhere near a hardcore collector. My first CD soundtrack was Simon Birch and my latest soundtrack obtained is The Hunt for Red October. I listen to other music too but a good percentage will be related to movies and video games.

Organisation

I try and keep my tags organised but Last.fm really needs to do their bit sometime in making it work well. I tag soundtracks with just their title given to the film, video game unless it's a promo or a multiple soundtrack release.
