I need to get back on the whole score soon. Difficult listening for me, as I fly so much on my travels. When I have flights booked I refuse to listen the score or watch the film. Superstition.

I see United 93 on your scrobble list. First time you've heard it? What do you think? The track 'The End' gives me goosebumps, one of the best things Powell has written. But I am not fond of the rest of the score.

Indeed! I was only scrobbling him alongside Hans Zimmer with Batman before... Really liking his Hunger Games score, too, but unfortunately the sound quality of the recording isn't the best :(

Wow, cannot believe you're still listening to Bridge to Terabithia all this time! It's been a long time since I heard it, but I remember it fondly, and I don't think Zigman has managed to top it yet.

Yes, everyone seems to be loving Who's Up FOR An Adventure. Personally, I like Discovering Atlantis. It is certainly a 5/5 score though, as was Lockington's first effort in 2008. Regarding Hunger Games, I have not heard anything yet. But the film's reception is surprisingly positive. Can't wait for Horner's Spiderman which should be with us in a few months time. Also JNH's Snow White, which could be the underrated gem of the year! And you must get around to hearing John Carter, generally regarded as the best score of the year so far, even superior to JTTCOTE2

Hm, new film scores... I've been enjoying Giacchino's "Super 8" lately (finally), but other than that, nothing new. Except maybe "Planet Terror" by Robert Rodriguez, that was quite funky. Game soundtracks on the other hand, there have been a few geat ones: "Deus Ex 3" and "Mass Effect 3" (as I told you), "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" (what a fantastic 4 CD release), and a few indie ones, like "Trine" and "The Binding of Isaac". None of them are particularly new though, but worth mentioning. Ah, Soul Surfer, yes, I couldn't (and still can't) get enough of it. And yes, I've heard about The Carrie Diaries; though I'm not sure whether I want to see it fail or succeed. On the one hand I can not see AnnaSophia Robb in a role like this, on the other hand it could mean new AnnaSophia Robb material once a week ;-)

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed with the Mansell "revelation"; but as I said, the whole score is pretty fantastic. Much better than ME 1 and 2, IMHO. And one of my favourite tracks is in fact by Christopher Lennertz – "Betrayal". I don't want to spoil it for you by giving too much away, so I just say this much: I love how the final 45 seconds of the track give me goosebumps every time I listen to it ;-)

You're right, it's not being sold as a standalone piece, but comes as a bonus with the Collector's Edition of the game. And yeah, the Clint Mansell bit... That was just bad marketing, as he only composed 1 or 2 tracks. This could be a bit of a let-down, but the other tracks (composed by most of the Mass Effect regulars) are pretty much on the same level.

Hey there; i've just discovered this shamefully obscure group called "Fonderia" and there's (at least) one track in particular i think you will appreciate. For some reason this particular track reminded me of Martin Andersen's "Gravity Jump" and limbo in general (especially the ending). Think of limbo, add some jazz, electronica and string subtleties. Fonderia - M-2. Another notable is "Roofus". http://grooveshark.com/s/M2/3vrQtK?src=5 and http://grooveshark.com/s/Roofus/3vrNkA?src=5

Man, go get the score for Mass Effect 3! It reminds me a lot of Deus Ex 3 (which you still haven't checked out ;-) ), but with less electronic parts. It's pretty epic, but there's a hand full of really moving tracks as well.
