Zar-Unity Thanks for the Karen Poole song credits. I'll look them through. I heard a few more of Sinead Quinn's songs and now I no longer feel the need to check her one album out. I just liked her one song "can't break down" and thought she looked really hot in that video. That's all. :-/

Karen Poole is ridiculously creative with her own special style of power girl pop she brings to the production process. I was going to look up several of the artists she has co written songs for but I haven't done so yet. She's on Twitter, I actually got her to chat with me a little yesterday! I asked her if Babydrum (her recent music project) had any new actively and that I was a huge fan who loved her. She was reluctant to share any new news about it but she did say that they (BabyDrum) were awesome and that she loved me too and gave me a hug in the form of an x. That was pretty damn cool! She's probably my favorite artist that I follow on Twitter. :-))

I don't like M.I.A. either. I remember Ladyyhawke not being bad but this is the first I've heard of Santigold. I think she is original and creative without having to be too obnoxious or sexual. I like that. Plus her music is very well produced (muiti-layered) and melodic almost like dream pop. I heard that other song earlier too. I like everything I've heard so far. About 4 songs. No red flags yet.

The anticipation to something sweet to your ears could be said to be half the fun of discovering new artists. Back when it met something to use the radio as a tool instead of a tread follower. Back way before I even knew of good music and all I knew about was the video game music I cherished, I used to listen to B98.5 fm, the pure mainstream pop station. Not because i liked anything I heard, but because I was then and still am now, a natural pop lover at heart.

Well that's what's really cool about personal online music profiles. If anyone asks you what type of music you like, all you have to do is say, visit my profile. It's so much easier that way. I found myself at a loss for words before, in the old fashion method of trying to explain myself on the spot. All I'd usually say is, nothing that you'd hear on the radio lol.

My top three would be Saint Etienne, Club 8 and Alisha's Attic. I've found many matches but not too sure I want to fish for any new friends yet. ACT, Emma Bunton and Siobhan Donaghy were all brought to my attention sooner than I would have by myself thanks to your help. That already in my book makes you a valuable friend to have. A lot of music you like may not tickle my fancy but I've always thought that overall, you have good taste in music, even if I can't appreciate much of it.

What you say I believe has a lot of truth to it. I suppose I will look into the rock, dance and other area's of UKmix before deciding to leave for good. I'm in a very narrow music niche crowd for sure lol. I should not be so picky about music forums I guess.

I'm thinking about leaving UKMix because there's nothing really there for me. Most people on there (like 90%) seem to be obsessed with top 40 mainstream junk and don't care at all about real artists. I need to find me a better music forum, better suited to my general taste.
