thanks! and thanks for that link about miki berenyi, very interesting. sad that she'll probably never make music again, but hey, she seems to be happy with her job (though i'd really like to know what kind of job it is) and her family - and she obviously still has her great sense of humour. i see you're already preparing for the next ESC with some oldschool stuff, including switzerland's very own Peter, Sue & Marc, LOL! greetings from a very, very chilly zurich.

    Friday afternoon
... and a very, truly, deeply happy new year from me, too, gorgeous welsh lady! uh, i'm also quite tired, and thus am not looking forward to working again on jan 4th. at all. i hope you had some great festive days and enjoyed a nice time with your family. i really do enjoy listening to lush from time to time; i think their music has aged very well - it's been no less than 19 years since the release of gala! i wonder what miki and emma are up to these days... take care!

Hello Fi, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and (to make up for the belated xmas wishes) am getting in early to wish you a happy new year! I am spending the week relaxing at my mum's place, and naturally I brought my music along with me, so yes I am around and my shoutbox thanks you for the tinsel..oooh shiny :) xo Hmmm it's very late, I should be going to bed. Now, where is that Xanax...

my dear! yes, i heard about the resurrection of RATM. i remember the song very well and i actually liked it, but i could never deal with whole albums of that sound. christmas no. 1's are not that important here in switzerland, certainly not as much as in the U.K. you're right about xenomania, they're way more credible than S/A/W and actually did some pretty decent jobs. i already went to the mountains to see my mother, but i'm back in zurich now and will celebrate the 24th at my girlfriend's parents' house, the 25th with my own family. then on the 27th it's tim's birthday (his 6th), on the 29th i'm invited to a party and on the 31th... well, actually i won't do anything on the 31th, silvester (= new year's eve) is always disappointing... i wish you a brilliant, incredible, parcel-filled christmas and lots of love!

Hello dear (and hello Beat). I am happy to report that my lip has healed. I hope your finger has also healed. Oh I haven't watched Home & Away in well over 10 years (I think the last time I watched it Selena, Shannon etc were the resident teenagers of the show haha - Shannon was played by Isla Fisher of course, and the actress that played Selena is now 'starring' in Commonwealth Bank commercials here - oh well, nice work if you can get it). I did hear about the RATM thing. Don't know what to make of it really. I was never a fan of that song anyway, but anything would be better than an X Factor ballad I'm sure. I see that you have been listening to Lisa Mitchell :) She came sixth in Aus Idol in 2006. I always knew she'd have a career outside of the show, as she never seemed to fit the Idol mould anyway. Quite a cute young lass that one.

uh, that diet coke incident sounds freaky (just as terry's accident that he described below does), i'm glad you and your finger are okay. you charts are very xenomania-ruled this week: PSB, mini viva and girls aloud. but that makes sense, because xenomania are the new S/A/W, kind of ;-)

Oh I just saw your shout on Beat's page and had to hurry here and shout on your page. Sooo. I'm sorry to hear you hurt your finger. I've done that too with a soft drink can too. Meanwhile, I have a rather large cut on my lip. I decided to open a squeeze bottle of tomato sauce yesterday and for some reason opted to take off the foil sealer with my teeth. Lo and behold I managed to cut my lip with said sealer once I peeled it off (with my teeth). It's an amusing story and I enjoy telling people :) Although I don't tell them I was intoxicated at the time.

oh no! what did you do to your finger?? i hope you are not in (too much) pain)?! i know what you mean about hopeless fights against strong winds with small weakly umbrellas, LOL. i see you listened to joan as police woman - i loved her last album "to survive" (terry's a big fan, too). oh, and i see some sandra in your playlist, too: now that's a leap into dark hardcore 80ies sounds ;-) cheers!

listening to david bowie and having a delicious cold drink - that sounds like a perfect moment. though it must be sad that right now hot drinks are more appopriate here in zurich, because it's been snowing an awful lot since yesterday. i like it! i have some welsh music on my stereo at the moment: the new album by cerys matthews. and very lovely it is, too. take care!

About Me

Hellooooooo!! And many greetings to yoooou... :)

Thank you so much for visiting this page! I don't know how you'll have found your way here, but many thanks!! I hope my taste in music isn't too terrifying (I guess it can be a little eclectic? *squints* ) (aah, I hope my taste in music isn't at ALL terrifying!!) for you...

So, errrm, here's a list of some of my favourite things (that made me want to burst into a little song there ;) ):
(In no particular order)
MUSIC (wellllll... )
Animals
"Chi's Sweet Home"/"Chi's New Address" (anime in general)
Lots of things from the eighties
Tennis (watching, not playing)
Formula One (I guess I'm a recent-ish convert-type person)
TV (I like "South Park" and some other shows) (I've recently been introduced to "Monk" which I'm finding great)
Exercising (haaaah... )
Reading
Playing on Nintendo
Finland
Big jewellery
Boots (the footwear, not the shop!) (not that I have anything against the shop)
Sleeping in
Diet Coke
Eurovision
Nature

I can be quite neurotic, I can never seem to make decisions, I can be a hopeless dreamer, I should be old enough to know better, blah blaaaah...

Have a great day!! xxxxx

EDIT: Is this me or does it look like I've typed too much?
EDIT 2: Aaah, move onnnnn...

1st SINGLE BOUGHT: 'Twas either "Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club or possibly something by David Essex? (My Mum will have bought these for me in our local branch of Woolworths... )
1st ALBUM BOUGHT: Hmmm. "Now That's What I Call Music... " perhaps? I really have no idea, actually...
