Two weekends of moving Last.fm office (pfoo)

yup, we have a new office. actually this has been going for a while, but we are finally moving (moved) in.
we started last weekend with a small van. we moved everything that wasn't on a desk to the new office already (pictures of it later). that was last saturday.
after a days work, on sunday, mischa and I (and my uiko wife) went to ikea to get some shelves as room dividers. i had worked out before that the packages will weigh half a ton (as in 500kg) I told mischa once we were in the car ;-). actually I told him on the phone but he said he didn't hear that.
4 knackered out ikea trolleys and a few hours later we arrived at the new office where jonas and johan were waiting to help us unloading.
that won't fit in the elevator ...
after unloading we swiftly proceeded to build a few.
and here is what they look like when they are done.
so now we can have nice departmenty areas for all of us to work in.
that weekend the office was still completely empty. this weekend while we moved all our other stuff in so that we can start to work tomorrow, some of andrew's builders are working away on building some meeting rooms and a board room.

wood panelling for the rooms, we are going for the cabin look.
on saturday 29th we moved all our other stuff in, so that we are theoretically ready to rock.
after working away into the afternoon we also needed to move 8 new servers into a new datacenter. the new servers had been sitting around in boxes waiting for a new racks, because there is no more space in our old datacenter.
the new place was really hard to find, we had to call up the 24 hour support who was hanging in the local pub, bit drunk and happy to give us directions into the stratford pedestrian zone.
the datacenter is above the supermarket ...

we figured we need to drive the van up the sidewalk, the servers are heeeeeeeavy.

there is even a church in front of the datacenter, bless that I say
on sunday (yesterday) we did nothing except meet up for a moving out party in the old office (rasmus you better upload some of those pictures).
getting ready for the blow-out. RJ playing football with the guys.
getting later and some lightshow. we ended up being there until 2am. although we were all completely f-ing tired from the moving.
today we did some feng shui in the new place and tomorrow we'll start working while the guys are still building our rooms. plus we got no broadband yet, so it's some wifi action or isdn (god help us).
will post some more about the finished office. so far so moving ...
