You know I'm just messing with you on MPP, I love that album though. I find AC amazing in general bc each output has been so different and I know you feel the same. Been listening to a lot of Beach House Devotion lately, it never really hit me before until now, very addicted. Perfect for a lazy morning at work! Still think the new album is wonderful though

    Hi

You read the 33 and a third Wowee Zowee? It's very well written (about halfway through it). Kind of gives a fans perspective and then offers insight from interviews with the band to show where they were at at that point in their career. Plus its pretty funny. Doesn't seem to be many books on Pavement so its nice. The only other 33 and a third I have read is Highway 61 Revisited, it was okay.

I hear you on that. Holocene is pure nostalgia for me too and I really feel like that is what he was going for. Even the lyrics (which I don't really understand very well) are supposed to be memories he had of growing up.. I guess there is something about Sufjan I can't get past. I've only ever listened to Illinois, which I had trouble taking seriously and Age of Adz which just wasn't for me. I remember liking Decatur though. What would you suggest as a second option for getting into Sufjan?
