The Fall are funny too because I would guess some of those albums you initially found unremarkable will seem better after you have got into and appreciate their best work... They're just a band that I should have listened to so I am willing to delve into them. But with a band like that who have been going for a long time you don't want to pick the wrong album to start with otherwise it may colour your view of them and you may be put off really exploring. it's like picking the wrong Fall album or something. You're the only person I know who listens to them (you're also one of the only people I know who listens to a lot of great stuff for that matter) so I thought I should ask you. Anyway thank you and I will report back on my progress!
