I really like how O'Donnel gave ODST it's own musical shape, without completely abandoning some well known melodies and themes of Halo 3. The jazz like infusion of melodies is great, and the themes nail the feeling of desperation, distress and loneliness of the Rookie spot on. I don't like the combination on the songs though. Example: "Deference For Darkness". The first part of the song is pure gold, why is in the same song such a wild drum and percussion part? It does not fit together IMO, and is sadly present on many of the tracks
