see exactly for that reason I don't like german music, it always puts me into a bad mood and I don't like the sound cause it's so hard and rough just as you kinda described it. And I do like the Scorpions, but only because they didn't sing much in German, or did they? actually I know just one song, wind of change and I really love this one. oh wow, our music taste is actually really similar :D I have way too many albums of Pink Floyd I don't listen to his music much anymore but once in a while I do and I agree.. Wish you were here is definitely his best album. yup I listen to Led Zeppelin and Queens, not so much Coldplay though. it's getting so whiny after a while, I don't think I've listened to their last album though. I've been really good actually, and you? how's it going with your studies? you finally like what you're doing?^^ I wish I knew what I wanna study...

Now they seem to try and make extrme (lyrically) songs to try and keep their audience. It doesn't seem to come naturally. It's commercialism when a musician's/singer's/band's/whatever's artistic freedom is constraned or follows what they think audiences want to hear.

They don't sound so unique anymore. I mean Lindemann's voice will always be unique but the instrumental on the later albums is less industrial, more acceptable rock. Their performances HAVE TONED DOWN. I've seen an interview where they said so themselves. Compare their early shows - in gigs to Volkerball DVD. I've seen an interview also, and quote (from Lindemann): "Our more commercial songs don't seem to do so well." Evedence from the band themselves recognising they've made commercial songs and have toned down. Dressing up for photoshoots, standing in different poses and crap to try and sell yourself (think of Rosenrot photoshoot - that was so not their style) is commercial. Moskau and Amerika are commercial because they sing in another language to try and extend their popularity to those countries to get people to hear about them and make them money. But don't get me wrong. I don't mind the song Amerika. It's the song I first heard of theirs.

Plus. Look at their COMMERCIAL photo shoots. There are trillions and they have gotton suckier and more mainstream rock than ever.

Rosenrot is a piece of crap album. No I am not "one of those people" who think that. I think their later stuff (not saying that I don't like it... obviously with the exception of Rosenrot which was weak piss water). Hello, 'America', 'Moskau'. What's not commercial about that? I think their riffs are weaker and their lyrics less extreme. For me being extreme, new and having a unique, non-mainstream sound is Rammstein. Thier last 3 labums have lost that. They are now rock. And I don't like that............. anyway, they must be doing something wrong if pop-music fans are into them.
