In fact, your avatar kind of represents how my tastes have progressed since my childhood.

Nice tastes, bro. Also, I love your avatar.

As you might guess, lots of simultaneous admiration and envy.

Indeed, I've done the impossible due to ~inspiration~. See the WAYLT thread on FP for details. Alternatively, #1 on my charts.

Are you talking about my taste or the abandoning you (and everyone else) for several months?

Freewheelin' and Highway 61 are what you need. Also Blood on the Tracks is probably his best for his singer/songwriter stuff imo. But if you want his more bluesy side, try Time Out of Mind.

All I've ever heard of hers is her cover of Skinny Love and I could never decide if I liked it or not, but I'll definitely check out her cover of Terrible Love although it's going to have to be pretty special to impress me because I really do love The National.

I honestly don't know, I've only ever listened to High Violet and the song Abel which is from another album. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Who'd have thought our compatibility would be SUPER! Have to say I'm rather surprised/dubious.

Oh my goodness my three favourites too, although actually i love by my hand too. I have to say I like it but I miss Aleks big time. The back and forward female vocals and just the tone of her voice, it's different but not in a bad way.
