Really? Well each to their own, I suppose in terms of achieving a massive hit with 'made for success' pure pop like Spinning Aroud and CGYOOMH, it would be deemed a failure. People don't expect that from Kylie though, which is probably why I liked it... most just wanted another Fever!

I have to disagree, I don't see much of a connection at all between her 90s music and Body Language, I feel Body Language to be a natural progression from Fever's lighter style, which itself was a progression from Light Years. Her 90s genre-hopping was much more of a rebellion against the PWL material imo, which is miles away from the material on say, Impossible Princess, wheras the musical styles of Fever and Body Language are very similar in many respects and a natural progression through albums as I've said. I see Light Years, Fever and Body Language as a trilogy in that sense!

Lol you started young with Kylie then! Breathe is my favourite track from that Impossible Princess... interesting album. I think Body Language is some of her best work, Slow for example (which is probably my favourite Kylie song) has much more of an edge than the majority of her material. I love the Bardot inspired imagery of the album as well... the material is much more soulful and a progression from Fever, which is why I appreciate it I think. Although Fever is a close second album wise. Love At First Sight is a contender for my favourite track too, I've always loved it.

Oh wow quite the fan then! I'm much more a fan of Kylies post PWL stuff... a few tracks in the 80s are pretty good, but most of it makes me hurl to be honest!! Body Language is my favourite album of hers. Eek it was in fact a ballad version of the song from her White Diamond documentary, or the Kylie Show that aired on tv, one of them (!) that appeared on the pre-order, the original track is much more upbeat and FAR superior to the ballad version, so don't worry you haven't missed out on much at all haha

I may do that then haha. I would have loved to have seen Madonna but the idea of a stadium is just UGH to me. She should have done some arenas. I have seen her before though and she will no doubt tour again so its not a great loss!! White Diamond is the best song that should have been on X, although it's never leaked... she performed it on her last tour, the only new song so its on that CD. Brilliant. There are quite a bunch yes, makes this era seem like quite the mess haha! But there are a few b-sides and a couple of other songs that are GEMS. Have you got any other Kylie stuff??

As was i LOL. I'm seeing her in London soon so I'm getting back into Kylie... it scrobbles plays from my iPod as well so I guess that would account for some, but I think my last.fm scrobbles songs I've played once like 6 times which is a bit annoying!! I was never the biggest fan of X, there are a few tracks that were left off the album that SHOULD NOT have been but its definitely grown on me, some great songs on there. Not my favourite Kylie album, but by no means my least favourite!

Number 1 reaches the middle ground for me, I wouldn't say it's a favourite but I don't not like it, quite the opposite. Wasn't the best single choice imo! My favourites from that album are RAWH as I said, Ooh La La, Slide In, Satin Chic, You Never Know... oh most of it haha! Not to mention the song Beautiful, have you heard it? Was a b-side to Number 1 and on the US release, you should check it out if you haven't, killer :)

You really should, some fantastic songs on FM. I have to say Caravan Girl was probably one of my least favourites originally, although it has grown on me. My personal favourites are Clowns, Eat Yourself and A&E <3 When I'm listening to Black Cherry, its my favourite... the same goes for Supernature though! Strict Machine is easily one of my favourites too, it's a classic Goldfrapp song. Ride A White Horse may be my favourite overall... love love love it!

Haha! Well you get passionate about things like that sometimes! Ah Seventh Tree. The first time I listened to it I was a tad disappointed but its definitely grown on me. Supernature and Black Cherry are insurpassable for me, I adore those albums, but I prefer Seventh Tree to Felt Mountain I think, however much of a classic FM is! Oh Goldfrapp. If you ever get the chance, see them live. Legendary <3

It really depends what you're after I guess. If I'm getting ready to go out for example I can't say I'd drift towards ROL as an album to listen to! But yeah as you said its very introspective and hence much more personal as LAP was. Which is probably another favourite of mine! ROL is chilled in a sense, ie. Orbit's production, but its much more intense than her other albums in another. Ok I'm getting a bit too analytical now haha!
