Your review of Burials Kindred EP is awesome.

One month on and I've STILL not checked your recommendations, I'm such a dick haha! Your radio will suffice for now - I'm too lazy to go hunting for new music lately :p

Admittedly TTT's album is half amazing, half meh so I see where you're coming from - I think I like it so much because all the music videos so far are ace! Mogwai's album was great! Slight krautrock influences which was a nice change and just a different vibe from previous albums - assuming you went to the Manc gig I think I was there too y'know. Should've met up for a pint haha!! Highlight live music-wise was Jaga Jazzist in London and Supersonic Festival - both were kinda pricey but worth every penny :) I think if you'd asked me the same question a month later my response would be totally different; very fickle lately and swinging from album to album - definitely check Apparat's album of 2011 too. I vow to check out your suggestions though assuming I remember haha :) Would be easier if I still had premium on spotify but nevermind. Not sure if grindcore will be up your street but hell, worth giving it an open minded try huh! DiG are brilliant - try Tyrant? http://youtu.be/OJy458WaMsg

Haha, I know right! Surprised you even recall all that banter :p Loads of ace releases (most of which I think you've heard of) but in no specific order:- Silent Running - 65daysofstatic, Vessels - Helioscope, Tycho - Dive, Ed Gein - Bad Luck, Three Trapped Tigers - Route One or Die, Stendeck -Scintilla, Necro Deathmort - Music of Bleak Origin, Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will, Battles - Gloss Drop and of course ASIWYFA - Gangs. That'd be my top 10 for now it's very liable to change since there's loads of albums on my 'to thoroughly listen to' list and a ton of other albums I absolutely loved besides those 10. ISAM from Amon Tobin was great too! Then there's all the awesome EPs/mini albums too like the final release from Down I Go - Gods which is pretty immense! How about you man? Always happy to mooch some suggestions from you haha :) Any gig highlights?

I haven't listened to the new 65 either, I'm going to give it a download later this week. I've heard of O'Brother before, I think they toured with Biffy once if I remember, but I've never listened to them. I will definitely give it a go soon though. Another album that might interest you is Dad Rocks! album. I haven't heard it yet, but the songs sound amazing live. Very Owen-esque in places. You should listen to the new Owen album if you haven't already too, it is incredible. It will be in my top 10 by the end of the year with ease.

The new songs that YL played live are amazing. One of them is the heaviest thong they've done. Sucks you missed out on them live, they have been incredible both times I've seen them. I've just remembered that the 65dos live score is out next week. I don't know how I forgot about that, especially since the song I've heard from it is so good.

I''m secure enough in my music taste to not care if some shit gets scrobbled ahah. I'm not sure what releases are still left to come out this year. I seem to have lost track on a lot of stuff since I've moved to Uni. The new Pianos Become the Teeth album is should be on your radar. Beautiful post-rock influenced screamo and I can't wait to finally have the new Young Legionnaire EP, if that comes out this year. I think I tend to use the next months of so to catch up on what I've missed so far. I'm mainly looking forward to the new Tall Ships and Mars Volta albums coming out early next year more than anything.
