I guess on the plus side, if you live in a cold-weather climate like me, you don't spend much time outside this time of year. I haven't heard of too many people near me that have contracted it, but the people they've interviewed on television that got say it felt like they suddenly got hit by a sledgehammer--really tired, groggy, and achey as you described. Then again, this is a hectic time of year. I got most of my Christmas running around done, so I can just chill and send out cards in a couple of weeks. Here's to your speedy recovery. I've got so many unused sick days at work, I'd gladly give you some if need be!!

Were you in the hospital when you had your H1N1 bout? I've only had flu shots twice in my life, and both times I wound up getting it!! So, I've bypassed flu shots, even though I can get them for free where I work. Glad to see you back on your feet--are you back to 100%?

Thanks--when I was 25 I couldn't envision turning 50 let alone 51. I ought to download "Alive and Kicking" by Simple Minds to commemorate the occasion! Bummer about your "lost literature"--funny how inspiration hits oneself. One minute you're a whirling dervish and the words flow quite easily, then the next you can't spit out a syllable let alone put it on paper. Serendipity and happenstance can be cruel and succulent mistresses to the artist (depending on the circumstances). Oh well, cest la vie as they say in Bourdeaux!

Hi Endy--how's it going? Looking forward to Thanksgiving (I get turkey with my birthday cake this year--yea!!), I volunteered to host the family this time--should be fun. Now if I can only keep the calorie monster at bay, it will truly be a successful November! Written any good poems lately? Every so often I like to impress people at work by reciting "The Reason for the Pelican" by John Ciardi--just a little something I still remember from 7th grade (why I still remember it, I don't know)!

About Me

I love rock, pop, indie, alternative, New Wave, Modern Rock, college rock. Can handle a very little country. No Rap.

My favorite songs are highly emotional songs. If singer pours their heart into it, I will usually like it.
