    wow, i didn't even know they had a myspace (they split up a few years ago). ah, they put 'spanish dance troupe' up, that's a good song. i'm rather fond of their weirder stuff, the albums 'barafundle' (my absolute favourite), 'gorky 5' and 'spanish dance troupe'. after that they went a bit, um, boring. i saw euros childs (their singer) in london last year and even though i think his solo efforts are also a little on the boring side, he still was very funny. i think i might have trembled and giggled a bit when he signed a copy of his album for me ;-)

    i love them sooo much! i first read about them (in the nme) and the writer compared them to gorky's zygotic mynci - one of my favourite bands ever - so that got me interested. it turns out they _do_ sound a lot like the gorky's and i love them for that. they're playing the london calling festival in amsterdam next month, hooray!
