SHV89 Wow!!! Ohio! That's really cool that you live there. It looks interesting in the pictures! :D Oh really? Where a bouts does your friend live in England? I might know it. I hope that you can come visit England some time soon :) It's been snowing a lot lately here! Ah that's a shame, I've never been on my own to a concert - I share your feelings to be honest - the majority of my friends don't share my taste - but I have a few that do like similar bands, so we work around that..... But the more I think about it, the more I wouldn't care about going on my own - so yeah, I'm not missing any band in the world from now on! Foals are definitely worth checking out - particularly their second album - they're also from Oxford. :) I hope that you like them too.

Coolbeans. :P Where do you live? And it's the same for me - kind of - but I only have to travel 20 minutes by train and I'm in Oxford, or an hour to London. So I'm quite lucky in that sense. But the majority of bands that do play where I live are just local bands, so I haven't heard too many - but whenever I walk to the gym I hear bands playing in this pub - some sound quite good. Some aren't if I'm honest. Haha.
