World fusion

World fusion music is a fusion genre of world music, blending musical traditions from around the world, and possibly mixing them with modern music such as jazz or rock. The term was coined in 1978 and has since become a standard term used in the music industry. In the book, “Ancient Traditions — Future Possibilities” by Matthew Montfort, leader of Ancient Future, Montfort defines world fusion music as “music that combines ideas from many of the earth’s traditions.” Read more…|Edit this Artist photo: Sussan Deyhim

As part of the TOWER FESTIVAL, WOMAD Presents World Music at the Tower will take place over the weekend of 19th – 20th September at the historic and prestigious TOWER OF LONDON. WOMAD PRESENTS is a series of performances from artists woven together from all over the world. Saturday 19th is headlined by legendary artist Khaled.
