Viking Metal

Viking metal is a term referred to metal bands with dramatic emphasis on Norse mythology, Norse paganism, and the Viking Age. It is closely related with terms of pagan metal and epic black metal. If you are an Amon Amarth fan and looking for more music similar to them, this is not the place. They are far closer to death metal and melodic death metal than viking metal. With the exception of a few, like Thryfing, you won't find much in the vein of Amon Amarth here.
