Thrash Metal

Thrash metal (sometimes referred to simply as thrash) is a subgenre of heavy metal music, one of the extreme metal subgenres that is characterised by high speed riffing and aggression. Thrash metal songs typically use fast, percussive and low-register guitar riffs, overlaid with shredding-style lead work. Nothing will ever top the 80s thrash. Real riffing thrash. Most "thrash" bands nowadays sound more like black/death metal than the real (Kill Em All, Rust In Peace, Spreading The Disease, Reign In Blood) type of thrash metal I like. I guess ill be stuck listening to 80s thrash all my life. Its ok though, World Painted Blood, Death Magnetic and specially EndGame all kick ass :]

You know you could say that black metal it´s also very repetitive.Most black metal fans that i know are really closed minded and if an album isn´t raw or kvlt enough they wouldn´t like it,so please don´t talk about generic music because most of the norwegian styled black metal bands sound almost the same.And sorry but you don´t really know much about metal if you think that Metalcore is best.Thrash metal is the quintessencial metal subgenre,no black metal can be as good as classics like Show no Mercy,wich by the way has the perfect evil vibe that some black metal bands look for,or classics like Pleasure to Kill,Bonded b blood,Beneath the remains,Breaking the Silence and so.Thrash metal bands have much better riffs that all black metal bands togheter.I´m not saying that i dislike black metal,i can enjoy classics like In the nightside eclipse or Blood Fire Death,but thrash metal is untouchable,so Get in our way and we're going to take your life
