Stoner Doom
Stoner doom (also known as psychedelic doom) is a style of riff-based doom metal that’s relatively fast and makes much use of guitar/bass effects such as fuzz, phaser or flanger. Becoming heavier (heavy bass), darker (lyrically and musically) and slower then stoner metal and incorporating more psychedelic elements. Stoner doom is strongly influenced by the psychedelic-oriented works of early Black Sabbath (particularly songs such as “Sweet Leaf’‘) and stoner-rock legends Kyuss.
