Psychedelic trance or psytrance is a form of electronic music characterized by hypnotic arrangements of synthetic rhythms and mesmerizing melodies created by high tempo riffs. It first broke out into the mainstream in 1995 as the UK music press began to report on the exploding trend of Goa trance. I just started checking out even more after a total psytrance drought in my life due to not being able to find anything I liked but then I stopped being lazy and dug deep into last.fm and found a lot more I now love. I never liked regular trance that much either but Hallucinogen got me interested in psytrance and I just went from there.
