Psy-trance is trance music that grabs your attention and clears your mind. It literally puts you in a trance - at least the good music does. The Psy part comes from psychedelic. Psy-trance is trance music with exotic, strange, and weird sound effects peppered throughout the song. They break up the monotony of pure repetitive trance beats and give part of your mind something to focus on, like a lightning bug on a pitch black night.
