Melodic Hardcore

Melodic Hardcore is a subgenre of Hardcore Punk. As the name suggest it is more melodic than traditional hardcore, with less aggression. Melodic Hardcore, with its strong emphasis on melodic exploration (melody), is distinct from both Emocore and Pop-Punk, although these genres are often combined or used interchangeably, though doing so wouldn’t make much sense. it's really difficult to set the borders in this genre, because there are alot of bands that have classical hardcore punk roots like strung out and ignite with influence from the first wave of hardcore punk like black flag and the dead kennedys but don't seem very "hardcoreish" compared to newer bands like The Carrier, Comeback Kid and stuff. But as long as there is no greenday on this page i think everything is okay :)
