Mallcore

Mallcore is a term used mostly by metalheads to deride contemporary styles of heavy music that they dislike, such as nu-metal, metalcore, or groove metal. The name can be attributed to the perceived tendency of youths who frequent malls and stores located within them, like Hot Topic, to listen to these kinds of music.
