Looking back through my own tagset, I see that an alternate Duke Ellington name must've been folded into the name "Duke Ellington" within the last year- and my tag transferred onto the main name as well. So that's why Tiesto, too.

Further, the implementation of track fingerprinting and autocorrection has likely had an impact on this tag. Some use lkysa to tag alternate, underlistened (in context of site) lineup names that have streamable tracks on them. Later, they may get folded into the main artist name. This may have been the case with DJ TIesto, who has had different pages' worth of music here with slight spelling differences. Another example- I have tagged a couple lineups of James Brown(!) that not many people had found here (yet).

Some users' personal radio versions will always make more sense (within the simple definition of the tag) than the global version. Given that tags often "stick" globally even when a user has removed them from an artist, you can still have the non-matching artists in the global radio. If someone makes a quick mistake, or later takes his personal tag back off a now-more-listened artist, the old tagging can unfortunately persist. So, my recommendation is to to find someone's personally-tended version and play that.
