A very wide genre-lisation of rock music that originates from Japan. Similar to the genre 'Rock', this all-encompassing term covers all styles of music that feature the traditional core rock instruments (guitar, drums, bass), used in a rock style.

Japanese rock varies mainly from Japanese and/or English sung vocals, some artists take cues from Western acts, however, many bands have a unique approach and sound.
